A Beautiful Tune

While iShuffling at the grocery store today one of my favorite Richard Thompson songs, "Beeswing", queued up. Here's a tidbit of the lyrics:

..."We busked around the market towns and picked fruit down in Kent
And we could tinker lamps and pots and knives wherever we went
And I said that we might settle down, get a few acres dug
Fire burning in the hearth and babies on the rug
She said "Oh man, you foolish man, it surely sounds like hell.
You might be lord of half the world, you'll not own me as well"
...

This beautiful song is very much ipod/shuffle worthy and can be downloaded from an estore near you.

Thanks bd for the comment. My husband and I did hear Del Mccourys Band play 1952 Vincent right here in Jacksonville a couple of years ago. They were great.
