A Great Cookbook
If you are yearning for some delicious rustic Provençal food go and find this out of print wonderful cookbook, Lulu's Provençal Table by Richard Olney, and start cooking. You also will get an added bonus of the story of Lulu Peyraud and her family and their vineyard-Domaine Tempier, near Bandol in the south of France. On Saturday after spending several hours in the grocery stores and another 3 to 4 hours in the kitchen by dinner time we were enjoying an incredible dinner...four recipes from the cookbook.
Anglefish and Mussels with Chard (I used red snapper)
Baudroie et Moules aux Blettes
Pilaf with Tomatoes
Riz à la tomate
Asparagus Vinaigrette
Asperges à la Vinaigrette
My son sent us some excellent olive oil and to-die-for balsamic vinaigrette that is used in the restaurant where he works. That is what I used for the Asparagus Vinaigrette. Yum!! Thanks Tad.
Apple Tart
Tarte aux Pommes
(That's right another apple tart and this recipe was the best)
