Plugged In

I have had chronic dry eye syndrome for a couple of years and have decided to get the SmartPLUG procedure done. If you are unaware of this procedure it consists of a thin rigid acrylic rod that is placed into the tear ducts. Once inside the punctum and exposed to body temperature it shrinks in length and expands in width, reshaping itself into a gel-like plug. End results, occlude the tear duct and conserve the eye's natural tears...no more dry eyes. So this is my blogworthy news for the day and what I have to look forward to tomorrow.

Good luck with your procedure. I think chronic dry eye sounds painful.
